[ WEBINAR ] FRT Insights: 2021 Year in Review and 2022 Outlook
The global recovery landscape continues to rapidly evolve. Last year, filings were down worldwide due in part to the pandemic, but recoveries were up. As we look to 2022, what trends will continue to impact the securities litigation space and what’s next that investors should be aware of?
Watch our on-demand webinar to hear Mike Lange, Esq., our SVP of Worldwide Litigation, and Colin Holmes, Esq., Associate Counsel, look back on 2021 and preview 2022 and beyond, including:
- US Settled Securities: In 2021, US securities class action filings retreated from prior years, but settlements were up slightly. We look closer into three types of cases – COVID-19, Crypto, and SPACS – and discuss what to expect this year, for these types of cases and for filings and settlements overall.
- US Settled Antitrust: Last year, there were 8 significant US antitrust matters with claim filing deadlines. To date, $3.5B has been distributed from 5 fully-settled cases. There’s another $3.9B waiting to be distributed from 14 fully or partially settled matters. What’s left in the gas tank for 2022 and beyond?
- Non-US Securities and Antitrust: Where were the opportunities for global litigation in 2021? Learn why Australia, The Netherlands, Italy, and China are countries investors should pay closer attention to in 2022. We also explain why case funders are requiring more up-front paperwork and the increased role ESG factors are expected to play in registration decisions.
