FRT Wins 8th Annual Hedge Funds Care San Francisco Poker Tournament Fundraiser

In January, the historic AT&T ballpark was transformed into a lively poker tournament for the 8th Annual Help For Children San Francisco Poker Tournament Fundraiser, in partnership with Hedge Funds Care. Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT) was proud to sponsor the event and participated in the tournament competing against 220 players from the San Francisco Bay Area.

A special congratulations to our very own Aaron Hatton (pictured below), Account Executive at FRT, on winning first place in the tournament. By the end of the night, 400 attendees celebrated a great cause raising $225k to keep children safe.

Help For Children, supported by the alternative asset management industry, is a global foundation providing grants to prevent and treat child abuse as well as showcase the philanthropy of the finance industry.

Over the years, the San Francisco group has established a strong local industry presence and has distributed over $9 million through 238 grants. In 2017, HfC awarded $483,766 to organizations such as San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center, Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County, and East Bay Community Recovery Project, supporting over 13,000 children and families in San Francisco, to prevent and treat child abuse.

The event was outstanding, and FRT was glad to contribute to an extremely worthwhile cause.
